This historic town (George Washington was the official surveyor in 1749) is home to tons of well-known festivals, like the Gnarly Hops Beer Festival and the aptly named CulpeperFest, just to name a few. It’s also smack dab between DC and Charlottesville and only an hour from RVA, making it a primo option for a day trip.
