We’re rounding out our VA Spirits Month Recipe with a classic: The Sazerac. The Sazerac is widely regarded as the oldest known American cocktail, and seeing as Virginia is America’s oldest state–we thought it was a good fit for this project. Sazeracs are usually made with rye whiskey, but when we laid our eyes on Lost Whiskey’s High Rye Bourbon, we knew it would be just right.
We’re still celebrating VA Spirits Month over here! So, naturally, we wanted to include a classic daiquiri on our cocktail list. We used Virago’s Four-Port Rum with Peach Hibiscus syrup from Crescent Simples to create our take on the daiquiri and we’re sure glad we did.
Get outta here vodka mules! Moonshine is here to save the day. This recipe uses Belle Isle Shine’s Honey Habeñero Moonshine instead of the traditional vodka, and we’re never going back!
