Spring is in full bloom and so are the outdoor festivals in Virginia! Everyone is eager to get out, get moving, and get eating in the Commonwealth this month.

Pure Pasty won International accolades with their BBQ Chicken pasty, a creation developed by the company’s British chef Nicola Willis Jones with sweet potato, zucchini, red pepper, corn and a small amount of pineapple.

Welcome to the first “Faces Behind VAFoodie” post – a new series where you’ll get to know the people behind Virginia Foodie. Our first installment follows me, Julianne, a green-haired, 21 year old, vegan foodie living in the heart of Richmond, VA.
