An Italian Farm Dinner in Loudoun
Chef Marcus Repp, Director of Culinary for Lansdowne Resort and Spa kicks off the 2nd dinner in the Root to Table Culinary Series with his, “An Italian Farm Dinner in Loudoun” on May 31st.
Chef Marcus welcomes the Taste of Blue Ridge community and guests to Lansdowne Resort and Spa for an Italian inspired al fresco farm dinner where he will combine healthy local ingredients, music, and good vibes to kick off the summer. You will also have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines Chef Marcus has chosen to pair with his food courses. Then you may elect to buy a bottle for you and your friends to share of your favorite.
When asked about why he chose this particular theme, Chef Marcus said, “Italy is the cradle of good food and sharing meals with friends. Enjoy old world traditions and local seasonal ingredients in an alfresco setting, all the while sitting in beautiful Loudoun County, VA.”
“This totally matches up with our theme of Root To Table since our Taste community looks back on our cultural roots which in America are diverse and exciting. These roots greatly affect our food selections and ultimately through generations, American cuisine is constantly evolving. Chef Marcus also welcomes his hand picked guest chef to join in the experience, Daniela Williams (Owner)- Cucinamore – Italian Cooking Parties In Your Kitchen. She was born and raised in the Italian city of Treviso, 25 miles north of Venice, in the North-Eastern part of the Country. In 2008, she moved to the United States and has made a home in Loudoun County with her husband Vince, and their sons, Jason and Nicholas. “I cannot wait to be a part of this Taste of Blue Ridge Root to Table Culinary event! Working side by side with those fantastic professionals will be a pleasure and an incredible honor for me!
