About Crozet, Virginia
Somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia, the small town of Crozet is home to a population of just about 8000 people. It was initially founded as a railroad town in 1870 and named after Claudius Crozet, an engineer who oversaw the construction of the mountain tunnels. Much of its history can be seen in locations like the Crozet train depot, Claudius Crozet Park, and the Blue Ridge tunnel. The town also serves as a popular suburb for those working in nearby Charlottesville, providing easy access to recreation with its stunning mountain views. Thanks to the natural atmosphere, the town is home to a beautiful outdoor lifestyle for local businesses, restaurants, and wineries.

They even have an inn onsite, so it’s a great place to stop for an overnight visit as it is peaceful and serene with the mountain view.

Just outside Crozet, Virginia, an 18-minute drive will take you to Veritas Winery & Vineyard. This family vineyard has been producing wine for over 20 years and grows eleven different varieties of grapes.
