Retro Games and Next-Level Eats: Why Continues Arcade Is the Place to Go
If you love a good dose of nostalgia with your dinner, Continues Arcade & Restaurant in Alexandria is about to become your new favorite hangout. Think arcade classics, craft cocktails, and tasty bites that totally level up your night, all in one neon-lit, joystick-filled playground.
We stopped by for happy hour and immediately felt like kids again, but with much better snacks and drinks this time around.

Princess Peach Cocktail – $7.50
This orange and peach-flavored dream is the star of happy hour (which runs until 7:00 PM). It’s fruity and dangerously easy to sip while you’re trying to beat your high score in Mario Kart.
House Lemonade – $4.50
Simple and refreshing, with the perfect amount of sweetness.
Bob-Omb Shrimp – $18
Beautifully cooked, crispy shrimp with a sweet and spicy sauce. I could easily eat 15 of these!
Neo-Geo Pocket Sandwich – $19
Boss-level flavor! Gochujang chicken, soft brioche buns, tangy cabbage slaw, and crisp pickles come together in perfect harmony.
The Vibe
Every inch of Continues is packed with fun nods to retro gaming. From the cleverly themed food and drink names to the pixel-perfect video game font woven into their branding, nostalgia is around every corner. Arcade cabinets line the walls, tabletops are sealed with pages from vintage gaming magazines, and even the bathrooms feature Pac-Man inspired icons for men and women. It’s all brought to life by the joyful bleeps, bloops, and coin-drop chimes that transport you straight back to the golden age of arcades. For just $10, you can grab 40 tokens and relive your childhood favorites. We played Mario Kart, Skee-Ball, Crazy Taxi, Pinball, and more while sipping cocktails and soaking up the energy. TVs mounted above the bar played a rotating mix of anime, Family Guy, and gaming streams, so that you never miss a second of fun.
And it’s not just about the games. They host themed parties and events too, making it the perfect place to continue the night (pun fully intended).
