Did you know Virginia is home to one of the biggest wine competitions in the United States? World-class judges gather to award the best wines in the state. The Virginia Governor’s Cup stands as the Commonwealth’s most rigorous wine competition. Last year,  after sampling 614 entries, world-class judges awarded 66 wineries, cideries, and meaderies from across the Commonwealth with 142 gold medals.
