Happy September, foodies! Fall is kicking off in the Commonwealth, and there are tons of events state-wide to help you celebrate–including the start of our very own State Fair! September is also the beginning of Oyster Season and Oktoberfest so you know this month is gonna be fun!

From beer and wine fests to barbecue and food trucks, April is the perfect time to get together with family and friends, and enjoy the best of Virginia. It’s also National Garden Month — the perfect time to get your hands dirty in your own garden.

Over the summer, Local Food Hub and 4P Foods finalized a merger of their distribution operations. Local Food Hub is a nonprofit organization that was founded to partner with Virginia farmers to increase community access to local food. 4P Foods is a direct to consumer food hub that connects consumers in the DC metro area with good food from small family farms. This merger marries Local Food Hub’s strengths in farmer relationships and product knowledge with 4P’s strengths in logistics, market development, and sales.

With all of these food, drink, and music festivals in and around Virginia this August, there’s no excuse to be bored.
