Forget Taco Tuesday, how about tacos every day? For breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a late-night snack, tacos deliver a burst of flavor in a handy, edible wrapper. Tacos are so popular, we think you could travel the state and have a taco at every stop. With that in mind, we thought we’d explore a Virginia Taco Trail. Dreaming of tacos, we took to social media and asked our followers to give a shout out to their favorite place, and y’all definitely delivered. So here goes! The official Virginia Foodie Taco Trail:
Locally-Sourced and Muy Bueno
We’re all about local sourcing, and we love to see international cuisine that’s influenced by the terroir of locally-sourced proteins and produce. So we were happy to see so many Virginia taquerias that proudly proclaim their strong local roots.

More Tacos Worth Mentioning
Tacos are so majorly yummy that many types of restaurants include them on their menus as a bar or breakfast food, and no Taco Trail would be complete without sharing a few of the more notable ways to have a taco experience.
Wong Gonzales (Richmond), while not a traditional taqueria, has devoted their menu to a fusion of Chinese and Mexican flavors that is a tasty experiment in blending two cultures. Simple Eats (Virginia Beach) touts a locally-sourced taco on their bar menu. Beer Run (Charlottesville) regularly serves up fine breakfast tacos. And Flavor on Main (Culpeper) has an ever-changing taco experience using local ingredients for their Taco Tuesday specials.
Let us know how you satisfy your taco cravings. As you travel across the state, sampling tacos from our taco trail, snap a pic, give us a shout, and tag your posts #vafoodietacotrail, and we’ll keep sharing that taco love.
