Annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting – AmRhein’s Wine Cellars featuring chocolates by Cocoa Mia (Bent Mountain)

This annual event is a foodie favorite, and AmRhein has made sure to make the necessary COVID adjustments, so you and your sweetie can celebrate safely. The event is Saturday, February 13 and there are tasting slots available from 1pm-4:30pm. Guests will receive 6 handcrafted chocolates from Floyd’s Cocoa Mia paired with AmRhein estate wines. All tables are private to keep in compliance with COVID guidelines, and this event has a limit of 40 people for social distancing. Tickets are going fast, so you better get them while they’re hot!

Tacos in the shape of a heart! Need we say more? Juan More Taco is known in the Fredericksburg area for having a huge heart. They regularly donate and deliver meals to elderly community members and neighbors in need. Their Taquero Mucho Taco Box also has a huge heart (???? we couldn’t resist). It comes with 32 regular-sized tacos (chicken, carnitas, chorizo, and veggie) chips, guacamole, pico de gallo, and all the toppings. It feeds 10-12 people and costs $75. Make sure to pre-order!

Leesburg Home Bakery, Dunn From Scratch, is bringing out the big guns for their Valentine’s menu this year. Each option is only available for pickup (contact free of course), and you can choose from a box of a dozen cake truffles, a super huge atomic cookie bomb (which has 15 servings!), and mini cakes which are perfect for sharing. Atomic Cookie orders will be ending at the end of the month, and the other goodies are sure to go quickly so head on over to her website and grab some!

Fetching Goodies is a home baker in Alexandria and is known as the “Bar Queen” because of the gorgeously-gooey baked bars she makes for farmer’s markets and local pickup. She’s got some killer V-Day specials that will definitely tickle your taste buds like a classic Chocolate Chip cookie bar with festive sprinkles, Rich Chocolatey Brownies, and a Razzle Dazzle bar which features raspberry jam, shortbread, and a vanilla sugar drizzle.
