Scott’s Addition Has a New Pizza Spot

There’s a new pizza place in Scott’s Addition so obviously, we had to check it out.

Pizzeria Delores is now open in Scott’s Addition, and after one visit, I can already tell you it’s going to be a regular for us. Here’s what to know before you go. This place just opened, and the building isn’t huge, so I wasn’t sure we’d get a spot. But we managed to snag a booth on Friday night around 8:00. When we walked in, we immediately liked the vibes.

The Pizza

It’s Sicilian-ish. Think square, pan-baked, a little like Detroit-style but not quite as thick. The crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom while still being chewy. I like that this style feels pretty different from other places around Richmond. (We recently had a Sicilian pizza from Mary Angela’s, but it wasn’t anything like this one.) And the prices are great for what you get.

The Drinks

The drink menu covers the bases without overdoing it: a few cocktails, beer, canned wine, and a solid set of NA options. We went with a petite cider from Potter’s Craft Cider and a Day Ripper NA pils from Enay, both local, both good. Drink prices are refreshingly reasonable, too.

The Space

The space is cozy and a little retro. There are 3 booths, some bar seating, and a small patio out front with tables if you’d rather eat outside. It’s first come, first served, so don’t count on a table unless you’re willing to wait a bit. (Although we didn’t have to wait long.)

What It Cost

The Red Top Deluxe pizza, one cider, and one NA beer came to $45.40 with tax and tip. With pizza left over (enough for two of us for lunch for the next day) it seemed like a great deal.

The Details

Pizzeria Delores is at 3001 W. Clay St. in Scott’s Addition. Follow them on Instagram at @pizzeriadelores for menu updates. Add this one to your list!

Looking for more new Richmond spots? Antonelli’s Deli just opened in the Museum District, and it’s worth the line.
