Celebrate Founder’s Day at Monticello

Monticello in Charlottesville will mark the 274th anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s birth with a celebration and ceremony on the West Lawn, Thursday, April 13th. The event will feature a keynote address by Chef Alice Waters. Waters, founder of the Edible Schoolyard Project and chef and owner of Chez Panisse Restaurant in California, is the recipient of the 2 017 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal in Citizen Leadership. Following the address, the birthday celebration will continue with live music and cake! Find more event details and info here.
