To kick off Virginia Spirits Month, we recreated this classic Pre-Prohibition cocktail. We used Silver Dolphin Gin from Three Brothers Distillery. It’s a cask-aged gin, which lends itself nicely to the flavors in the Clover Club.
1 1/2 oz Silver Dolphin Gin
3/4 oz of Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Elderberry syrup from Red Root & Co. You can also use grenadine or raspberry syrup
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 egg white. Not an egg fan? Sub with this vegan substitute
Mix all ingredients in a shaker and dry shake vigorously for 35 seconds, then add ice and shake till well chilled. Strain into a martini glass or goblet and enjoy!
