In 2012, the founders of Smart Basil Farms, John, Thomas, and Eric, established a basil greenhouse in Suffolk, VA, in response to the demand for high-quality, locally grown herbs. Their concept revolved around using superior, non-GMO seeds and employing hydroponic farming techniques. Over time, their small greenhouse expanded into a diverse range of greens, becoming the foundation of their business.
