Ziegenwald Dairy, owned and operated by John and Andrea Woodworth, is situated near Gate City in Scott County, Virginia, along Possum Creek. They began their venture in 1994, raising registered alpine goats. In 2008, they acquired a Grade A Dairy license, permitting them to produce and sell homestead cheeses exclusively from their goats’ milk. Notably, their milk production does not involve the use of hormones or antibiotics.
