Forget Taco Tuesday, how about tacos every day? For breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a late-night snack, tacos deliver a burst of flavor in a handy, edible wrapper. Tacos are so popular, we think you could travel the state and have a taco at every stop. With that in mind, we thought we’d explore a Virginia Taco Trail. The good news is you can use your foodie powers to help save it, by choosing to eat sustainably-sourced seafood. Want to learn more? Read on!
Mayonnaise is one of those condiments that you either love or hate, rarely are people indifferent to mayonnaise. Better than store bought: Chef Masilati’s version of homemade mayo is thicker, has a tangier flavor profile, and can serve as a great base to many other sauces and dips, enhancing their flavor.
Meet the talented culinary team at Locke Store in Millwood, VA. Pastry chef, Monica Beaudoin shared her irresistible recipe for homemade Bartlett pear upside down cake here with us. Homemade caramel, fresh pears, and plenty of sugar – this cake is sure to be a hit for the holidays.
Our foodies come from all types of backgrounds. One of our favorite foodies, full-time hair salon owner and part-time artisanal home cocktail enthusiast, made this killer drink with Virginia moonshine from Belle Isle. It was simple and amazing, so we had to share. Cheers!
